Entry Requirements

Valid Passport

  • Must be valid for at least six months beyond the travel date.

Visa

    Vaccination Certificate

      • Yellow Fever vaccination proof may be required depending on your travel history and if your flight has a layover in South Africa.

      Travel Insurance

        • Comprehensive insurance covering medial emergencies, trip cancellations and evacuation is highly recommended.

          Safari Policies & Guidelines

          Wildlife Encounters

          • Always follow the guide's instructions to ensure safety.
          • Maintain a safe distance from animals.  Do not attempt to touch or feed them.
          • Keep noise levels low to avoid disturbing the wildlife.

          Cultural Etiquitte

          • Respect local customs and traditions.
          • Ask for permission before taking photos of people.
          • Avoid littering and help maintain the pristine nature of the parks.

          Photography Restrictions

          • Drones are not prohibited in Kenya, but requre special permits and will be confiscated at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya upon arrival.
          • Photography for commercial use requires prior approval and fees.

            • Shop Kamawe is not liable for delays, changes or cancellations due to weather, political unrest or natural disaster.

            Health and Safety

            • Travelers are responsible for ensuring they meet health requirements, including vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis (anti-malaria).

            Loss or Damage

            • Shop Kamawe is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items, including luggage, cameras or other valuables.

            Wildlife Risk

            • Safaris involve traveling in areas with wild animals.  While every precaution is taken, encounters with wildlife carry inherent risk, and Shop Kamawe is not liable for injuries.

              Payment and Cancellation Policy

              Booking Confirmation

              • 100% of the total tour cost is due at purchasing tour on www.shopkamawe.com (whether paying in full or in installments through 3rd party companies such as Affirm).

              Cancellations

              • No refund less than 30 days prior to trip/tour.

              No-Show Policy

              • No refunds for no-show or late arrivals.

                Additional Tips

                Currency

                • The Kenyan Shilling (KES) is the local currency.  Major hotels, lodges and restaurants accept USD, EUR and credit cards.

                Language

                • English and Swahili are widely spoken.

                Tipping

                • Tipping is customary for guides, drivers and lodge staff.
